Description
I. Overview
Lumencor's new collectionSOLALight Source is the market leader in modern solid-state lighting for microscopy and other life science applications. Why put up with the limitations of classic arc lamps when you have a reliable, technologically superior alternative for your microscope? Eight years after the introduction of the SOLA light source, and with thousands of light sources in use, Lumencor has further enhanced the SOLA light engine product line by adding active light output stabilization, full linear intensity control, and electronic control interfaces to all models.
The four SOLA light engine models are distinguished primarily by the different spectral distributions of the outputs. The SOLA light source provides a white light output that can exciteDAPI, GFP/FITC, YFP, Cy3, mCherry, Cy5Fluorescent clusters similar to the spectrum. In the SOLA FISH source, the output in the 475-600 nm region is red-shifted and can provide theSpectrumGreen™, SpectrumRed™The SOLA V-nIR and U-nIR sources offer the broadest spectral coverage, including near-infrared (nIR) output for excitation of fluorescent fluxes such as Cy7 and ICG, as well as other applications requiring strong biological tissue penetration.
