The HK OAK-D Pro is available in two versions: fixed focus and auto focus.
These versions differ only in the configuration of the center color camera. The fixed focus version has a mechanically fixed lens, while the autofocus has a magnet that dynamically controls the position of the lens. Both versions provide a clear view of objects 50 centimeters and larger.
Auto Focus
It is recommended to use the camera on close objects between 10 cm and 50 cm from the device. They can also be manually set to a specific focus position using the DepthAI API.
Fixed Focus
The camera is recommended for heavy vibration applications such as drones, lawnmowers or vehicles.
