AS-Interface Master - Modbus RTU Slave
Anybus X-gateway allows you to realize a seamless internal connection between AS-Interface and Modbus networks for PLC control systems and their connected devices.
Fast copying of I/O data
The main function of the X-gateway is the fast transfer of cyclic I/O data between two networks. This allows your PLC to do no additional calculation work. The gateway acts as master on the AS-Interface network and as slave on the Modbus network. The data transfer is completely transparent and has a maximum data capacity of 512 bytes in each direction.
Simple to formulate - no programming required!
The connection between the two networks is quickly established in the Anybus Configuratuion Manager software included with the X-gateway. no programming skills are required to set up the X-gateway. By factory default, the X-gateway has a predefined I/O size of 20 bytes.

AS-Interface master interface
When an off-the-shelf AS-Interface control PLC is not available, the Anybus X-gateway with integrated AS-Interface M4 master interface can be used.
