  • Gigabit Ethernet-based control and communications; networked and remotely deployable real-time spectrum analyzer
  • Wide instantaneous bandwidth, modern waveforms such as the 802.11ac standard utilize bandwidth that takes up to 80 M Hz of the waveform, while LTE-Advanced is designed to take advantage of bandwidths of up to 100 M Hz. The R5550 provides instantaneous bandwidths of up to 100 M Hz in its Direct Inverter Frequency (ZIF) mode.
  • Deep Dynamic Range: RF measurements used to characterize IP3 typically require a dynamic range of approximately 100 dB. The R5550 supports multiple ADCs to provide a wide IBW with 70 dB dynamic range and a narrow band IBW with 100 dB dynamic range.
  • Hybrid super-exception, direct-conversion and direct-digitizing RF receiver front-end (RFE)
  • The receiver front-end inputs and outputs support clock synchronization, while the IF outputs are used for high-end digitization.

IV. Hardware interface

  • With I and Q output ports (IQout), it can be used to integrate RTSA's RF front-end with an external high-speed digitizer.
