Functional overview
Kvaser Air Bridge M12 is a compact wireless CAN bridge device with high stability and flexibility. With 2.4GHz wireless protocol, it establishes a stable wireless CAN bridge between the control system and test equipment, supports one-to-one and one-to-many pairing, low latency and suitable for long distance transmission. Its IP65 protected design is suitable for outdoor applications and supports various protocols such as J1939, CANopen and NMEA 2000® to fulfill various industrial requirements.

- Forms a wireless CAN bridge between two Kvaser Air Bridge devices.
- Pair it with any other Kvaser Air Bridge M12 device for a point-to-point radio connection.
- High-speed CAN connection (according to ISO 11898-2) up to 1 Mbit/s.
- No drivers are required and only limited configuration is needed.
- Provides configuration flexibility to support a wide range of application needs.
- Pairing, configuration, and link status via the management protocol on the CAN bus.
- The Active Discovery feature detects Kvaser Air Bridge M12 devices that are available for pairing.
- Proprietary wireless protocol with high robustness, very low latency and the ability to establish links and connections immediately.
- Internal antenna design with polarized diversity.
- Auto Bit Rate Detection or User Configuration.
- Bit rate conversion between CAN bus systems with different bit rates.
- IP65 rated, dust and water resistant housing.
- IP67 rated M12 cable connectors provide additional dust and water resistance for outdoor installation.
- Expanded operating temperature range.
