I. Overview
RevPi Gateway Module
Integrating devices into industrial networks is not easy. Special protocols are often used for data transfer, such as Profinet or Profibus, and when using our gateway, called the RevPi Gate, it is easy to integrate the Revolution Pi into an industrial network. Like all Revolution Pi expansion modules, the gateway is connected to the core module via a Pi Bridge connector. As a result, up to two gateway modules can be used per system. Regardless of the bus protocol and system configuration, cyclic data exchange between the gateway and the central process image of the RevPi Core 3 takes place every 5 ms. Due to the required processing power, we recommend using the gateway only in conjunction with RevPi Core 3 with Quad-Core.
