DSI3 Simulator

Function Overview:

The DSI3 Emulator is a tool designed for DSI bus communication development and testing, providing efficient data emulation and visualization. It supports USB interface and multiple data export formats, is compatible with Windows and Linux platforms, and has built-in standard protocol support for simulating up to six ultrasonic sensors. It is especially suitable for hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) applications to conduct simultaneous testing of multiple simulators to meet the needs of high-precision sensor simulation, such as airbags, and significantly improve the development efficiency and test accuracy.

Description

DSI3 Simulator

The Distributed System Interface - Simulyzer (DSI-Simulyzer) is an interface box that allows you to quickly and easily read out DSI bus protocols and actively intervene in processes using simulated data.

- Simplified Sensor Technology Development

- Visualization/Analysis Tools in DSI Software

- Test and simulation capabilities

Basic Parameter Information

  • Provides USB 2.0 interface as well as connectivity for control unit and sensors.
  • Powered by USB or external plug-in power supply unit
  • Compatible with Windows-7 +10, Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, Linux (API only, no GUI) systems.
  • Supports recording of DSI3 voltage and current at 3Ms/s.
  • Supports export of data in .csv file (Excel) and .tdms file (NI) formats
  • tBit is 8 μs, tChip is 2,7-10 μs.
  • Supports all operating modes in accordance with the DSI3 specification
  • Standard Windows Gui application (optional): The protocol-specific Gui application provides a wide range of settings, from signal definitions, serial transfer rates, and error detection to triggered events. visualization of DSI bus communications helps troubleshooting and can also be easily saved. dSI data is time-stamped, so data can be imported and exported.

Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation (HIL)

In HIL applications, multiple simulator boxes are connected and synchronized. Different types of sensors can be used to generate synchronized data streams for the ECUs in the airbag system and evaluated using a sensor simulation tool.

The HIL application is an extension of the sensor simulation. Several or even different simulator boxes are connected and synchronized. In this way, for example, it is possible to synchronize all the different types of sensors belonging to the airbag system in order to generate an ECU-specific data stream.
