Functional Overview.
CRFT Liquid Nitrogen Free Programmable Cooler utilizes Stirling engine technology to achieve precise programmable cooling and thawing without liquid nitrogen. Users can choose the preset program or customize the temperature profile through PC software, covering the critical nucleation and seeding stages; a variety of detachable modules and top accessories are suitable for different samples; integrated flame-retardant coaxial cables and UPS redundancy design ensure the safety of the whole experiment without interruption, which can be widely used in the scientific research and clinical cryopreservation of cells, tissues and animal organs.

The Programmable Cooling Instrument provides gradient "slow controlled" cooling conditions for cellular cryopreservation during dormancy.

Features
- Volatilized liquid nitrogen gas from samples cooled by conventional liquid nitrogen program coolers can contain contaminants such as bacteria, fungal spores, viruses and prions. The risk of contamination is minimized by not using liquid nitrogen.
- Built-in freezing program for embryos, stem cells and sperms, no need to set up by yourself to avoid wasting time and samples.
- This can be done with or without a computer. Data can be recorded via PC software and the profile will be displayed directly on the screen. Linear or non-linear cooling curves can be selected from a drop-down menu, and customized temperature curves can be programmed via software.
- Approx. 1% for liquid nitrogen control system, operated with 24V power supply.
- Samples can be nucleated/seeded in situ.
- Removable and interchangeable top module.
- For fine tube applications, maintain the temperature at -100°C at the end of the cycle until shutdown.
- Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS): In case of power failure, the power supply can be continued to complete the cycle (available as an optional accessory).
- Provide CE certificate for laboratory use.
- Provide maintenance and calibration services.
Risks
- If a small amount of nitrogen is inhaled, the operator may feel suffocated, short of breath and weak; if a large amount is inhaled, coma may result.
- Nitrogen in contact with skin may cause frostbite.
- Excessive vaporization of liquid nitrogen will reduce the partial pressure of oxygen in the air, which may cause asphyxiation due to lack of oxygen. The room where the liquid nitrogen is placed should be well ventilated.
