CAN@net II/Generic Ethernet-CANbridge/gateway
CAN-Ethernet-to-CAN and CAN-Ethernet-to-CAN Bridges
The CAN @net II/Generic provides easy and flexible access to the CAN system over the Ethernet. The device offers two modes of operation, bridge mode and gateway mode.
This product is not recommended for new developments. For new developments we recommend the successor product Ixxat CAN@net NT 100/200/420 or CANnector, which offers a wider range of functions.

How does it work?
CAN-Ethernet gateway
In gateway mode, CAN@net II/Generic connects to a PC or controller platform via TCP/IP. The application program on the host communicates via standard TCP/IP sockets and uses a simple ASCII protocol. As a CAN Ethernet gateway, CAN@net II/Generic provides simple and flexible access to the CAN system via LAN or Internet.
CAN-Ethernet-CAN Bridge
Using two CAN@net II/Generic, a CAN-Ethernet-CAN bridge can be realized. The bridge allows the exchange of CAN messages between two CAN systems via TCP/IP, where filter tables can be defined.
