Anybus PROFIBUS to .NET Bridge
NET bridge serves as a bridge between the PLC function modules and the .NET solution in the PC.
Working Principle
The exchange of information between the Operational Technology (OT) side and the Information Technology (IT) side is accomplished through messaging.
Up to 65535 different message types, each with a maximum of 251 bytes, may be defined. Each message type has a unique ID number and these messages are sent in sequence to the same IO data, which provides a large amount of data communication.
These message types are defined in a spreadsheet template (Microsoft Excel), which is included in the configuration software, along with the function modules and product definition files (GSD, GSDML, EDS, ESI). Using the spreadsheet templates, Anybus .NET Bridge Code Generator creates C# files for .NET programmers and PLC files for PLC programmers.
