Anybus Communicator Modbus TCP Server - EtherCAT slave is an industrial protocol gateway that allows you to seamlessly transfer data between PLC control systems via Modbus TCP and EtherCAT networks.

Anybus Communicator is designed to ensure reliable, secure and high-speed data transfer between different industrial Ethernet and fieldbus networks. The stand-alone gateway is easy to install and deploy, enabling transparent data exchange between PLCs, allowing you to bridge and integrate legacy devices into modern high-performance networks with no hardware and only minor software changes.

Anybus Communicator is built using the award-winning and proven Anybus NP40 industrial network processor, providing network consistency, high performance and reliability. Connecting PLCs on different networks enables extremely fast data cycling with up to 1500 bytes of data transfer in each direction, meeting most current control application requirements and supporting future needs.

  • Real-time data transfer The time required to transfer data between two PLCs consists of the cycle time on the first network plus the cycle time on the second network. The internal data transfer in the communicator is negligible because it corresponds to the natural variation of the network cycle time (jitter).
  • Hardware-accelerated byte-order conversion (byte-switching)- CommunicatorYou can change the data representation (byte order) with hardware-accelerated byte order conversion to ensure that the data is presented correctly in each PLC. You can even convert different parts of the data area in different ways to handle different data types. It has no impact on performance, reduces the burden on the PLC for data conversion tasks, and simplifies PLC programming.
