Background of PCR-related studies
- Conventional PCR technology obtains DNA samples through three steps: denaturation, annealing and extension, which results in a longer reaction time and a qualitative analysis that is not conducive to rapid detection of large quantities.
- qPCR (real-time PCR), also known as real-time quantitative PCR, refers to the addition of fluorescent dyes or fluorophores to the PCR amplification reaction system, which monitors the changes in the amount of amplification products in real time through the collection of fluorescent signals, and then finally analyzes the quantitative analysis of samples to be tested through standard curves and Ct values.
- The method is based on the intensity of the fluorescent signal, and the concentration of fluorescent light detected is directly proportional to the concentration of cDNA obtained by amplification; the larger the fluorescent light value, the more DNA is obtained. The larger the fluorescence value, the more DNA is obtained. This method has gradually become the focus of research.
