Teach you how to use the MSR Vibration Transportation Recorder !

First of all, thank you for choosing the industry-leading Vibration Transportation Recorder. The most important step in getting started is mounting and securing the Vibration Data Logger. In order to obtain valid and meaningful data, the Vibration Data Logger must be properly mounted on the object to be monitored.

Step 1 : Directions

Align the axis of the data logger with the main direction of motion. The data logger can be mounted in any position. Memorize the position and direction of the shaft for subsequent data evaluation.

Step 2 : Tilt Setting

The ±15 sensor can also measure gravity (≈ 1g in the direction to the center of the earth). Due to the static position, the inclination can also be determined.

Example 0...±180°: ACCx = -0.518g, ACCy = 0.425g, ACCz = 0.741g:

MSR-Software

The current values ACCx, ACCy, ACCz can be read in the "Read" setting on the MSR145 / MSR165 or the "Click here to view values" setting on the MSR175 and MSR175plus.

Step 3 : Confirm shell type, contour, hole pattern, screw connections.
