Airolit is a Swedish UAV supplier in the midst of a dynamic growth phase. Unlike other UAV suppliers, Airolit has the ability to independently develop and maintain industrial-grade UAV platforms and provide customized payload solutions. The company serves a customer base that includes both civilian companies and the defense sector, and its drones are used in a wide range of applications such as intelligence gathering, mission reconnaissance, and search and rescue in all weather conditions.
*Customized payload solutions“ refers to the design and development of specialized equipment or systems based on mission-specific needs and customer-specific requirements to meet the efficient operation of the drone in performing a specific mission.
Unlike most basic drones that use rudimentary communication methods such as UART to connect batteries to flight controllers, industrial drones are designed to emphasize functional safety and system protection, which is critical to meet safety-critical systems with stringent real-time requirements. As a result, industrial drones typically utilize CAN buses with higher reliability and electromagnetic immunity for their control and communication framework.
Kvaser U100 Helps Optimize Battery Performance
Airolit uses 👉 in its drone solutions.Kvaser U100 CAN to USB InterfaceAirolit is used to monitor the drone's battery communication status to ensure the reliability of communication between the BMS and other components of the drone and to enhance the stability of the entire drone system. In addition, by accurately analyzing the monitoring data, Airolit is able to precisely adjust the charging and discharging strategy of the battery, which not only prolongs the flight time of the drone, but also improves the life of the battery and significantly enhances the operational efficiency of the drone. Compared to most drones on the market that have a 30-minute battery life, the Airolit S1 drone supports a 75-minute battery life, bringing convenience and performance advantages to users.

We need to make sure that the CAN driver is running correctly, that the battery is transmitting the correct frames, and that there are no communication delays. Although we use self-developed software, we appreciate the flexibility of the Kvaser tool and the support for Linux systems.

Entering the New Era of Industrial Drones
Airolit responds to the demand for industrial drones as an emerging technology that large corporations and organizations are exploring ways to apply and try to seamlessly integrate into their business processes.Provides comprehensive “end-to-end” solutions, including system training and customized sensor integration services. The company has borrowed design concepts from the automotive industry to simplify the sensor interchange process by introducing standardized connectors andProvide platform solutions that are compatible with customers' existing sensors. To simplify drone integration and operation, Airolit's forward-thinking approach effectively responds to the growing market opportunity for drones (especially in Europe).

Airolit currently has two drone products: the Explorian XLT and the Airolit S1. The Explorian XLT features a wide operating temperature range, secure point-to-point data link, integrated GPS with RTK positioning, and optional tethered power supply, while the smaller Airolit S1 specializes in intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions, including search and rescue. The smaller Airolit S1 focuses on Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions, including search and rescue, and has a load capacity of 3kg.Kvaser U100Featuring an IP67 rated enclosure with electrical isolation, this ruggedized single channel CAN/CAN FD to USB adapter is suitable for drone testing in all kinds of extreme environments.
* “Tethered power supply method” refers to an option for providing continuous power to the UAV, where the UAV is connected to the ground power system through a cable (i.e. the tether).

The application has been optimized for rainy and snowy weather.
