Application Example] Monitoring the quality of laser texturing with NIT's infrared camera

NIT has developed a high-speed uncooled mid-infrared camera to meet the laser processing requirements of the LAMPAS project. The camera will be able to detect in-line the heat accumulated during the laser surface texturing process. The camera becomes one of the key technologies integrated into the LAMPAS in-line monitoring system, and is an upgraded version of the Tachyon 16K camera, which utilizes a very unique sensor technology that allows the processing of focal plane arrays with excellent sensitivity in the MWIR spectral range in an uncooled condition.
