EtherNet/IP to Serial Linking Device
Connect any RS-232/422/485 serial device to a CONTROLLOGIX® or COMPACTLOGIX® controller with an ETHERNET/IP interface.
The Linking Device acts as an intelligent protocol converter, presenting serial data to the Logix PLC in the form of easier-to-handle I/O data. This eliminates the need for additional calculation work on your PLC.
Convert any type of serial data
With its unique integration with Studio 5000® Logix designer, any content, including serial network configurations, can be accessed within Studio 5000. No additional third-party software or certificates are required, and no programming is necessary.
Connected, configured, successful!
EtherNet/IP Linking Devices are configured using a customized plug-in file for Studio 5000 Logix Designer, which dynamically generates data structures for each connected device. No ladder logic file is required (plug-in note).
It also supports automatic generation of named and structured Studio 5000 controller tags, eliminating the need to create alias tags.
