High Spectrum Imaging (HSI) is a state-of-the-art and information-rich technology for the early detection of weeds, pests, nutrition, water efficiency and diseases in crops, including digital plant phenotyping, pathogen detection, growth tracking, seed counting, seed germination, seedling classification and more!
Food Testing
High-spectrum imaging can be used to study a wide range of fruits and vegetables.
Chemical composition, adulteration, ripeness, freshness or damage.
It can also recognize foreign objects such as shell fragments, wood, stone, paper, metal or insects.
Recycling
The material range of waste constituents includes a wide variety of plastics, composites, organic materials (such as wood, paper and compost), mineral constituents, and ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Depending on the application, hyperspectral camera sorting criteria can be by type or color, facilitating the precise removal of off-color and foreign materials.
Integration Projects
Hyperspectral imaging can track environmental change and be used to understand surface carbon dioxide emissions, map hydrostructures, track water and air pollution levels, and assess fire risk.
Geological/Mineralogical Analysis
Iron-containing minerals have a characteristic spectrum, and hyperspectral cameras can be used to analyze minerals based on this spectrum, improving the efficiency of mining and geologic analysis.
