Broadband UV Curing

The disadvantage of single wavelength UV curing is that when the surface of the photosensitive material is cured too quickly, it may prevent the UV rays from penetrating deep into the adhesive layer, resulting in incomplete curing. Longer wavelength UV rays can penetrate deeper into the adhesive, but non-adhesive surfaces usually require strong radiation of about 365nm to achieve this.

In order to achieve a fully cured adhesive layer and a perfect surface finish, it is recommended to use a multi-wavelength curing mode. Exposure at higher wavelengths followed by final curing at higher intensity lower wavelengths ensures that the adhesive layer is cured uniformly both inside and outside, enhancing the overall effect.
