Description

Overview

The series of PXI thermocouple emulator modules are available with a choice of 32, 24, 16, or 8 channels-each channel provides low-voltage outputs on two connector pins, and is capable of providing ±20mV with a resolution of 0.7µV, ±50mV with a resolution of 1.7µV, ±100mV with a resolution of 3.3µV, and covers most thermocouple types.

These thermocouple simulators use two-wire outputs with a remote output reference sense to ensure that the modules provide accurate low-level voltages even when common mode voltages are present in the system. In addition, each analog channel can be provided with an open-circuit setting to simulate a miswired connection to the sensor.

To improve accuracy, each channel of the low voltage source carries accurate calibration data stored on the module. The module also includes a calibration multiplexer for module testing and verification purposes.
