Supporting both Android and iOS devices, the Vuzix Ultralite pairs with a smartwatch or smartphone via Bluetooth and then uses a light waveguide display to project content from the mobile device directly into the wearer's field of vision.

Vuzix says the smart glasses based on the Vuzix Ultralite design can access notifications, directions, fitness tracking and more. The days of constantly pulling your smartphone out of your pocket and interrupting conversations to check messages may soon be over.

The Vuzix Ultralite aims to be comfortable and weighs only 38 grams, an important consideration for a wearable device. The display screen occupies a 30-degree field of view, and messages can be repositioned in this area so they are easy to read without distraction.

Notably, the product also received the Ultralite CES Innovation Award from the Consumer Technology Association (CTA).
