Anybus Communicator is a proven and reliable protocol converter gateway that connects non-connected industrial equipment and devices to MODBUS TCP. The gateway performs intelligent protocol conversion and presents serial data as easy to process I/O data to the host PLC/controller.
The Communicator is a slim standalone gateway designed for IP20 and DIN rail mounting and requires 24 Volt power.The Communicator has been conformance tested to the current MODBUS TCP specification to ensure network compatibility.

Communicator is capable of converting almost any type of serial protocol, such as Modbus RTU, ASCII, DF1 or any other type of proprietary query/response or production/consumption protocol.

II. Serial Protocol Configuration Features
No advanced programming skills are required to set up Anybus® Communicator, as configuration is accomplished using the included, easy-to-use, Windows™-based ACM (Anybus Configuration Manager).
